Garage ACE (often shortened to "ACE") is a tuning shop owned by Gen Goto. the shop is well known for tuning up Skyline GT-Rs (specifically the R32, R33 and R34 generations). The shop is been able to stay in business via buying off GT-Rs from other tuning shops that are deemed "total losses".

History

The shop was first introduced in the "Legendary FC" arc of the manga, where Gen Goto lets Akio and Kijima drive one of there R33 GT-Rs in search of Kijima's FC that was last seen in Hakone.

The shop would later appear during the "Garage ACE" arc of the manga, where Gen uses his flagship R34 GT-R to hunt down the rumoured "R Killer". After Tomoya's defeat by Tatsuya Shima, Gen would let Tomoya drive his R34 GT-R. Sadly, during a race against the Blackbird, Tomoya looses control and crashes the R34. Afterwards, Tomoya vows to build another demo car for ACE.

After Tomoya wrecked the R34, he was indecisive if he wanted to use an R32, an R33, or an R34 for his next Demo car, that was until he spotted the shell of an R32 GT-R and began working on it, using the engine of the R34 GT-R that he wrecked. After Tomoya's battle against the Devil Z and the Blackbird in the ACE R32, he would later leave the tuning shop, but not before dropping off Kyoko Kitahara, who had financial knowledge to help out the Tuning Shop.

• The trademark color shop in manga and Maximum Tune games (from 2 onwards) is White, however in the PSP and PS3 games, it is a Gunmetal Silver, and in Maximum Tune 1, it is oddly Yellow.
