The Savanna RX-7 TURBO SE-Limited was the first RX-7 produced by Mazda, commonly known as SA22C (taken from the vehicle's indentification number). The car was introduced in Japan in March 1978 to replace the Mazda RX-3 and, later on, led to the FC and the last incarnation, the FD.
It made its first appearence in Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 4.
Description[]
The first generation RX-7. This was the first generation to be turbocharged and was the first RX-7 that ran powerfully enough that it could be compared to other rotary sports cars. The turbo is thought to go well with its rotary engine, and coupled with its simple chassis and light-weight, compact body, it can be driven as hard as high-displacement sports cars.
