Wangan Midnight Wiki

This page features minor & nameless characters found in the Wangan Midnight series. These characters played fairly minor but varying roles throughout the storyline.

The Girls[]

A group of chicks that appeared that Ma was tagging along with when Akio was driving his Z31 (Z32 in movie) before challenging Blackbird. Both girls do not appear in the Maximum Tune series. In anime version, both of the girls voiced by Shizuka Itō and Yuki Kodaira.

Kurosa[]

Kurosa (黒佐) is a character who makes his appearance in the first volume of Wangan Midnight. In anime adaptation is voiced by Yoshihisa Kawahara, while in the live-action movie is portrayed by Shun Sugata.

Devil Z's third owner[]

This character appears in Kurosa's flashback. He seems to be the second owner, as his face is never revealed.

Eriko Asakura's Parents[]

The unnamed parents of Eriko and late Akio, only appearing exclusive in the Live Action movie.

The Unknown Man[]

This man has spoken to Tatsuya Shima about the return of Devil Z. His face was cut out.

Reina's Manager[]

An unnamed manager of Reina Akikawa (レイナのマネージャー, Reina no Maneja) appears in Volume 1, Series 2, "Reina 1," as well as in anime episode 3, "The GT-R Girl." He first appears in Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 2 but has not been seen since Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 4 due to the reworking of Story Mode.

Unnamed Porsche Tuner[]

The unnamed Porsche tuner is seen talk with Shima, offering to tune Shima's Blackbird, but Shima declines the offer tuned the car before Shima find Jun Kitami, who later tuned that car.

Akio Asakura's Parents[]

His parents was mentioned by his teacher Rumi Shimada, later shown in childhood flashback.

Mrs. Shima[]

The unnamed mother of Tatsuya Shima, shown only Yuji Arc flashback.

The Police[]

Unnamed Silvia S13 Driver[]

An unnamed Silvia S13 driver was stopped by police officers following news of the crash involving an red R32. He exclusive in anime.

The Couple[]

In the manga, they owned an Mitsubishi Debonair. However, in the anime, they owned a Red/Black High-Flash Two-Tone Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX, which appears in Episode 5.

Yoshiaki Ishida's Parents[]

Yoshiaki Ishida's unnamed parents are seen in flashbacks in the manga and Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune. However, they do not appear in the anime adaptation.

Naidame[]

The manager of Green Auto Garage.

Sugita[]

An old mechanic working at Green Auto. The president treats him as a nuisance. He has a deep relationship with Kitami, and he himself said to Hiramoto and the others, "Kitami is a scary tuner, but there is no one as skilled as him." At the end of the Hiramoto arc, Hiramoto begged the president to let him keep the old Mercedes-Benz that occasionally comes in, saying that only he can handle it, and the president promised to inflate the maintenance fees. There are many people in the town where Green Auto is located who learned the basics of maintenance from Sugita, so if he were to fire him, the president would be laughed at.

The Doctor[]

EXCITING Team Leader[]

The EXCITING Team Leader appears in Manga Vol. 3, Series 10, "BNR32 1," and in Chapter 5 (the first half of The Return of Devil Z arc) in Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 4 onwards. He drives a Black Pearl Metallic Nissan Skyline GT-R BNR32 alongside Harada before departing, leaving Harada to continue cruising around the Wangan until the Blackbird appears.

Unnamed Sawamatsu's Mother[]

The unnamed mother of Sawamatsu observes her son's activities. When Koichi Hiramoto wants to meet his friend, Sawamatsu's mother tells him that her son has gone for a delivery and will never return to the racing scene once again.

Megumi Hiramoto's Mother[]

An unnamed mother of Megumi Hiramoto and Koichi Hiramoto's mother-in-law.

Unnamed Baby of the Hiramoto's[]

The unnamed baby is seen with Megumi Hiramoto in their hometown, Miyazaki, after Koichi Hiramoto decides to give up his racing life and eventually sells his R32.

Mrs. Akikawa[]

The unnamed mother of Reina Akikawa who appears in a flashback. She is seen in a flashback scene.

Maki[]

Maki is a minor character in both the manga and anime of Wangan Midnight, and one of Keiichiro Aizawa's friends. She first appears in Vol. 9, Series 25, "Legendary Max-speed Racer 4," and in anime Act 11, "Illusive Top Speed Runner." She works as a coffee shop owner, and her voice actress in the anime is Kaori Nazuka.

Koda[]

Koda is one of Keiichiro Aizawa's friends. He previously owned an Nissan Silvia K's Aero (S14) before selling it.

Gozilla[]

Gozilla is Tatsuya's wife only appearing in the Manga.

Kasuya[]

Kasuya is Tatsuya's son only appearing in the Manga.

Shimamoto[]

Shimamoto (島本, Shimamoto) is Koichi's wife and Keiichiro's mother. She is the president of a host club where Kei and Tatsuya worked. She only appears in the manga.

Hikaru Yasuoka[]

Hikaru Yasuoka (安岡 光, Yasuoka Hikaru) is a member of the R200 Club, alongside being the owner of the tuning shop "Speed Garage Jack". Compared to the other members of the R200 Club, he is not seen in any of the video games, and does not drive his own GT-R. He is voiced by Rintaro Nishi.

Shunkichi Oyama[]

Shunkichi Oyama (大山 春吉, Ooyama Shunkichi) is a member of the R200 Club, alongside being the owner of the tuning shop "GT Shop Because". Compared to the other members of the R200 Club, he is not seen in any of the video games, and does not drive his own GT-R. He is voiced by Hisanori Kotatsu.

The unnamed Mika Murakami manager who appeared during R200 Club arc.

Unnamed FLAT Racing Customer[]

Guys Crashed Reina's R[]

These characters appear in anime Act 15. Their car (Celsior in manga while in anime version was changed to Benz & shown in anime) crashes into Reina's R after Reina meets Akio Asakura and Takayuki Kuroki in the parking lot.

Two Guys GT-R[]

The two guys drives a white Skyline GT-R during Takayuki Kuroki raced with Tatsuya Shima, Takayuki passed a car almost nearly identical to Reina's R but the driver is not Reina herself.

Koyama[]

Koyama (小山) is a friend of Yasuhiko Miki and Takayuki Kuroki during the R200 Club arc. He is the owner of an unknown bar. Koyama first appears in manga Vol. 14, Series 41, "Fascination 1," and anime Episode 15, "R200 Club."

Eriko Kamiya is the mother of the Kamiya Brothers.

Drive Go!Go! TV Crew[]

A TV crew from Drive Go!Go! is seen in the manga and Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 4, where they drive a Hiace alongside Kouichi Kijima and Reina Akikawa driving a Porsche 911 Turbo.

Two FD Guys[]

These unnamed characters first appear when Eiji Kamiya's Evo 5 overtakes them. In Act 22, they overtake Kouichi Kijima's Benz SL. These characters are exclusive to the anime.

Micchan[]

Micchan is Machida's wife.

Unnamed Machida's Daughter[]

The unnamed daughter of Machida and Micchan.

Two Drunked Guys[]

After leaving the parking lot, Tatsuya Shima drove his Blackbird, slowing down to 50 km/h. He passed two drunk guys but crashed while attempting to avoid an unknown orange taxi car. Following the crash, Shima immediately called Yuichi Takagi to repair the Blackbird as soon as possible.

Unnamed Drive GoGo! Female Co-host[]

The unnamed female of Drive GoGo! replaced Reina Akikawa as co-host alongside Kouichi Kijima before the latter retiring as racer.

Old Man Kimura[]

Old Man Kimura (木村のとっつぁん, Kimura no tottsu-an) is a specialist mechanic turbine who asked Jun Kitami to put the Legendary F1 Turbine engine in the Blackbird before removing it later, eventually putting the F1 Turbine in the Devil Z instead in the later chapter. He appears in manga Vol. 28 Series 76 "Standard 5" and seen in a cutscene on Story 69 in Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6.

Hiroki[]

Hiroki (ヒロキ) is an ex-boyfriend of Makoto Morishita who gifted her a Subaru Impreza. He appears in Manga Vol. 29 Series 79 "Makoto 2" and also appears in Maximum Tune 3 and Maximum Tune 6.

Unnamed Yuji Kishida's Friend[]

Mr. Kishida[]

The late unnamed father of Yuji Kishida and the half-brother of Kazuhiko Yamamoto. He appears in a flashback scene in Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6.
