The Nissan Fairlady Z Version S (also known as 350Z outside of Japan) is a car produced by Nissan Motor Corporation. It made its debut in Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune.
Description[]
Although it has large emission volume of 3.5 liters, it has simple handling, thanks to its short V6 engine. Its ground-hugging form generates stability at ultra high-speed areas.
Reviews[]
It is often compared to the Silvia S15 with similar handling physics. It has a very high top speed and acceleration. This car tends to slide when turning and is hard to control. While considered by the community as being outclassed by its successor, the Z34, the Z33 is recognized as one of the best cars if the player master its handling. While some veteran players use this car, it is manageable for beginners once they get used to the sliding.
Colors[]
- Diamond Silver
- Burning Red
- Sunset Orange
- Monterrey Blue
- Super Black
- White Pearl
Appearence[]
- In the Export Versions of Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 1 to 3DX+, Tatsuya Shima's Porsche 911 (often nicknamed the "Blackbird") was represented as a Z33 Fairlady Z, due to licensing issues with Gemballa preventing Namco from using the Gemballa 3.8 RS in the Export Versions. This car would appear stock in the first two games, but starting in Maximum Tune 3, it was given some visual modifications to make it represent its Porsche counterpart.
Trivia[]
- Interestingly, its 3.5L V6 engine is taken from (and also shared with) a French executive hatchback, the Renault Vel Satis.
- It was one of the last cars to be sold under Japan's "gentleman's agreement" on horsepower. The gentleman's agreement ended on 2004, shortly after this car's launch.
