Samatsu or simply Matsu (マツ, Matsu) is minor character in manga and anime of Wangan Midnight.
A former racing partner of Hiramoto. He runs an ironworks with his mother. It seems that Hiramoto also drew a line when he left the Wangan once, but when Hiramoto reappears, he and Hiramoto build a Skyline GT-R together. He is in charge of the exhaust system, and the result is so outstanding that Hiramoto calls it "the best." However, due to a comment made by Hiramoto's mother, he is cut off from Hiramoto, but receives a letter from him after the battle with the Z.
