Just like many other black racing games, the Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune games include the ability to unlock secret cars that are not available to select in the beginning of the game as an easter egg. On the cars selection screen, go to the following cars and use the gear-shifter in this order (make sure to put the gear to Neutral before you go to car selection!)

- The Taxi version of Toyota Aristo and Toyota Celsior cannot be obtained or seen in North American version of WMMT5 as these cars are removed due licensing issues. The Taxi version is only available and seen in Japanese and Asian version of WMMT6.
- 5 new cars in WMMT6 Asia version was originally featured in Japanese version of WMMT5DX and WMMT5DX+ but can only obtained for wangan-maxi.net Premium member exclusive car.
- The secret cars are not listed in the official website.
