The Skyline GT-R V-Spec is a car produced by Nissan Motor Corporation which was 1st introduced in the original Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune game.
Description[]
Even though this car is a 4WD, it has FR-like characteristics. It is very stable in high speed areas because it has the longest wheelbase of all modern GT-R cars. However, it is sometimes slow when turning corners. Its stability in straight lines is been proved by its excellent performance in the Le Mans 24-hour endurance race.
Reviews[]
The R33's top speed is higher than the Skyline GT-R BNR32 & Skyline GT-R V-Spec II and has rather heavy handling compared to these two due to its larger wheel base. Combined with good boost, strong blocking ability and acceleration, this car will excel in races if the player has the appropriate skill.
Notable Owners[]
- Car tuning shop RGO owns a Skyline GT-R R33 V-Spec that they use as their demo car. The car is borrowed by Reina that she used to test it against Keiichiro Aizawa and later Akio Asakura.
- RGO Yamanaka usually drove RGO's R33 Skyline GT-R in Maximum Tune game (WMMT2 onwards).
- The R200 Club mostly use R33 Skylines as their primary vehicles.
- Takayuki Kuroki owns a white R33 Skyline GT-R for FLAT Racing.
- Kazuhiko Yamamoto owns a blue (White in WMMT3DX/3DX+) R33 Skyline GT-R for YM Speed Demo Car.

Trivia[]
- In real life, this car is frequently described as a "boat" due to some people complaining about its suspension for not being as firm as the R32 or R34. Despite that, it was the first car to lap the Nurburgring in under 8 minutes.
