The Toyota MR2 GT-S is a car produced by Toyota Motor Corporation. It made its debut in the first arcade rendition of Wangan Midnight.
Description[]
This car adopts midship layout which is not popular in production vehicles and a well-proven 3S-GTE turbocharged straight four engine from the Toyota Celica GT-Four. Being a midship means it has high chassis capability even in basic form. The moving of the rear is sometimes jittery because the range of the tire is limited in production vehicles, but if you can control this thrilling car, you can feel the so-called "driving high".

Trivia[]
- This car was originally going to be used as stand-in for Honda NSX in Maximum Tune 3DX and 3DX+, however it was unused. An unfinished file of the MR2 can still be found in Maximum Tune 4 and its subsequent games[1].
- The MR2 became synonymous for snap oversteering. It occurs when a vehicle is cornering and the throttle is suddenly lifted, causing the vehicle to lose grip in the rear.
- There was a bug in Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6 in which aero kit J would only have one headlight turn on at night, this was later fixed in Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6 R.
