The Toyota Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX, also known as the "Hachiroku" or AE86 to many, is a sports compact car produced by the Toyota Motor Corporation from 1983 to 1987. The car made its debut in Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 4 via a major update.
The Sprinter Trueno is the highest trim of the E80-series Corolla comes with 2 body style both with coupe and a hot hatch with a designated chassis code as AE86. The hatchback was in favour among car community with its distinctive pop-up headlamps. This was the last the Corolla to have an FR layout, as well.
The in-game model uses a zenki (early period) version as an earlier model-year.

- A red and black Sprinter Trueno GT-APEX seen in episode 5 of anime. After losing to Akio due to snap timing belt. Ishida stopping at a rest spot and finding a parked Sprinter Trueno ahead of them with a Couple inside, interupted by Ishida. He asked the couple and offer money for a Pantihose of them as a Belt replacement.
- Racer Wannabe B who drives a Sprinter Trueno from WMMT4 to WMMT5DX+ is an Easter egg to the Initial D series, with Racer Wannabe A driving a yellow Mazda RX-7 Type R (FD3S).
Trivia[]
- This car was first seen in Story 51 in first part of Legendary FC arc as unplayable car until later added via major update (March 6th, 2013 in Japan) and (May 8th, 2013 in Asia).
- This also said car was fully playable for Indonesian and Chinese version initial release as well North American version Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5.
