Wangan Midnight is a 2001 arcade racing game developed by Genki and published by NAMCO. It is the first Wangan Midnight arcade game.[1] It did not have a card system unlike the Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune series.
The Export version was also released with rival character name are not full name.

- Tatsuya Shima's Blackbird (Porsche 911 Turbo 3.6 (964)) originally meant to appear in arcade version as rival but ultimately cut. This likely due licensing with Porsche at the time where Porsche was exclusive deal with EA. The Export version however was able to playable despite being as unused car.
