Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5DX+ (also known as Maximum Tune 5DX+, or simply Maxi 5DX+) is an arcade racing video game developed and published by Namco and based on the Wangan Midnight manga. It is the ninth game in the Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune arcade game series and the final update of Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 5. This update adds two car makers (Lamborghini and Honda), Hiroshima Expressway, and exclusively in the Japanese and Indonesian version, a new Ghost Battle mode was added that involves facing other ghosts from other countries from the International versions of 5DX+, similar to Japan Challenge in the International versions.
The update was released in North America in January 12, 2022 now simply known as Maximum Tune 5DX+, which skipped 5DX version for unknown reasons. It is also where the Honda brand has been replaced with Acura, a North American version of Honda despite being shared with many Honda Cars with the exception of the Honda S2000 that only appear in the Japan Challenge.
The service and online feature for Japan version of 5DX+ was ended on July 12, 2018, the day release of WMMT6 and only just 2 years operated. The same information also applied for Asia/Indonesia version of 5DX+ and the service was ended on April 1, 2022 after 5 years operated. The North American and China version of 5DX+ is still operated until now although the My Page Service for the North American version was terminated on September 30, 2024.

Japan Version Exclusive[]
These several car are exclusive for Japanese version of MT5DX+ and not included in International edition of 5DX+. 2 of 6 car were later featured in Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6 as Terminal scratch while 4 other cars were later featured as Navi Scratch app for Asian release of 6RR. Mini Cooper is only car never released for International version of 5DX+ since then.

- This will marked the final game where Indonesia and Asia/Oceania uses separation server before being merged beginning in WMMT6.
- This also marked the final game to feature German manufacturer RUF before being turned into Porsche beginning in WMMT6.
- This is also the final game that featured Japan Challenge in Online Ghost Battle Mode as the mode will be removed in WMMT6, this is also the final game to feature Maxi Shop and Maxi G as these features will be removed starting with WMMT6.
- Aside S2000 and both NSX, another Honda car called S660 is briefly seen during VS Outrun ranking. However the status of S660 is not yet revealed until now as none of news about the S660 appeared in 5DX+, this is rarely as unused car.
- After few years away, the S660 will make appears as update in Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6 RR+.
