Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6 R(also known as Maximum Tune 6 R, or simply Maxi 6 R) is an arcade racing video game developed and published by Namco and based on the Wangan Midnight manga. It is the eleventh game in the Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune arcade game series. It is the first upgrade of the Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6 arcade series and was launched only in Japan on January 21, 2020.

The Asian release was cancelled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This resulted in an upgraded version, Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6 RR being released instead, making Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 6 R exclusive to Japan.

• Unlike previous series, this upgrade is not DX or DX+, just R that was previously used in Wangan Midnight R.
• Aside from having new cars and a new mode, there are no new additional content such as BGM Music, Story, and Course as this is a small upgrade of WMMT6.
• This was first game that cancelled for specific reasons.
• This was last game to feature Watanabe rims as in the next game they were replaced by Works wheels.
