YM Speed (known as Yamamoto Speed) is a tuning shop owned by Kazuhiko Yamamoto, the shop mostly specializes in Nissan Skylines. Reina's Skyline GT-R and later, Yuji's S2000 were tuned there. Kazuhiko Yamamoto drives a Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II.
Beginning with Maximum Tune 3DX, he drives a 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STI hatchback (GRB) and in Maximum Tune 6, he drives a 2015 Mazda Roadster 1.5 S Special Package (ND5RC).
The shop was originally named Yamamoto Motor Co. Ltd. when Reina first came to have her GT-R tuned. After working alongside his colleague and RGO boss, Kazuo Ohta on Keiichiro Aizawa's Toyota Supra to challenge the Devil Z, and Kitami returning Reina's R back to it's original 600 HP as an encouragemnet to be himself, Yamamoto decided to return to the tuning world and his shop's name reverted to its original name of Yamamoto Speed (Later shortened to YM Speed). When he was asked the reason for his return by Kuroki, he revealed that it's because of Akio and Reina.
